Steps Wellness

Mentality Magazine was founded with a dual purpose in mind: to create a community space where one can discuss mental health safely and openly and to work to destigmatize mental health through these discussions and writing. Our work is dependent on inclusivity and encouraging all individuals to take part in these conversations. Thus, we recognize that finding an opportunity to elevate the voices of our community members, strengthen our outreach programs, and support mental health accessibility initiatives is paramount to achieving our mission and growing the movement of mental health awareness. 

Therefore, Mentality Magazine is elated to officially announce our partnership with local Ann Arbor mental wellness organization, Steps Wellness! In particular, we are excited to continue to share the support that can be found in our authors’ pieces on the Unite platform as an additional way to highlight struggles with mental illness, celebrate journeys to mental wellness, and encourage others to find practices and resources that support their mental wellbeing. Steps Wellness is the go-to mental wellness platform for college students. At Steps, you can:

1) Connect with a therapist or coach for an in-person or virtual appointment

2) Explore top-notch tools and resources to educate your mind (books, podcasts, articles, videos)

3) Share experiences about challenges you have faced as a student and lessons learned (in partnership with Mentality Magazine!)

Steps will provide you short wait times, a therapist or coach that you can rely on, great resources, and access to a community of students who have faced similar experiences. They accept insurance!
