Feel Good Friday

After a long week of classes, my favorite thing to do to relax is to take a long, hot shower and curl up with a good book. 

Step 1: Kick off my boots in the corner of the room and pretend the snowy footprints will clean themselves.

Step 2: Turn the shower on and pray that there are no problems with the hot water. 

Step 3: Pull up Spotify and play the shower playlist for the day. Which is either a bunch of lofi or pop hits from the 2010s. 

Step 4: Get in and wash my hair with Herbal Essences White Grapefruit & Mint shampoo. Use about a palm size amount. Quarter-sized is way too less. 

Step 5: Optional. Use the Piña Colada sugar scrub if the vibe is right. 

Step 6: Get out and sign my name in cursive on the bathroom mirror. 

Step 7: Apply lotion liberally and change into favorite PJs. A worn-out Red Cross t-shirt and black yoga pants. 

Step 8: Turn on the rock salt lamp and bulb fairy lights around the bed. 

Step 9: Place peppermint hot cocoa in the mini Keurig and wait. 

Step 10: Pick a book to read. Current winner: In Every Mirror She’s Black.

Step 11: Get in bed with the cocoa. Scroll through Pinterest. 

Step 12: Open the book and start reading. 

Step 13: Pretend you’re sick so you don’t have to go to LIVE.
